Shaping Seattle: Disability Justice

Shaping Seattle: Disability Justice

What does it take to build a Seattle where everyone can move through their community safely, independently, and with dignity?

Join Seattle Streets Alliance for a special Shaping Seattle conversation exploring the past, present, and future of disability justice organizing and accessibility in our city.

From the disability rights movement that helped secure the Americans with Disabilities Act to today's efforts to improve sidewalks, public transit, and public spaces, disabled advocates have played a powerful role in shaping our communities.

Together, we'll celebrate that history, hear from disability justice advocates about the challenges that remain, and explore how we can build a more accessible Seattle.

This event is about more than learning from the past. It's an opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and discover ways to support disability-led advocacy in our communities.

Event details, speakers, and accessibility information will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
